Honor to Whom...

Old Sutton was from Essex in England. He was a sorry sight indeed!

He arrived ashore at Tanna in the New Hebrides Islands of the South Pacific, bearded, dirty, and sick. The natives looked askance at him until he introduced himself. Then, everything changed. He was given the best the tiny island had to offer and was treated as if he were the king of England in person.

When missionaries later came to the island, they were shocked and astonished at the veneration with which the natives respected old Sutton.

Then, it came out. The natives had taken Sutton for Satan. That was back in -about 1845, but over 75 per cent of the population of this entire planet still give Satan more honor than they do God. Many of them also are members of the church and have been for years. To whom do you pay honor?
